AUTHORSHIP AND PUBLICATION UNIT

Overview

The Authorship Unit is a unit that works under the umbrella of the Center of Modern Mathematical Sciences and their Applications (CMMSA). This unit seeks excellence in writing and publishing in the core areas of mathematics and applied sciences that contribute to raising the level of educational quality. Also, the unit has an effective role in establishing a peer-reviewed scientific journal.

CONTRIBUTE

To contribute curriculum development of mathematics for general education.

PUBLISH

To write and publish the references for undergraduate courses in mathematics at King Abdulaziz University and other local universities.

PARTICIPATE

To participate in writing mathematical references that contribute to mathematics-related competitions.

ESTABLISH

To establish a peer-reviewed scientific journal (open access).

Our Duties

Follow

Follow up on the process of writing scientific books from collecting information to issuing the book and then publishing it by doing the following:

  • Collect information which will be presented in the books being written.
  • Supervising experienced authors to write books.
  • Proofread and correct the spelling errors in the books that are written.
  • Contact with scientific publishing centers and promote the relationship between the university and these centers.
Create

Create a peer-reviewed scientific journal (open access):

  • Supervising the creation of the journal’s electronic website.
  • Assigning the members of the arbitration panel of the peer-reviewed scientific journal.
  • Encouraging researchers inside and outside the university to publish in a peer-reviewed scientific journal.

Mathematics is a recognized and established field of research at KAU as this discipline enjoys the services of specialist researchers in a variety of important areas of mathematics and its applications. CMMSA will interact with top-level centers to sign MOUs for building research ties with them.
